One of the big things going on right now in the fashion industry is a big retro revival. One of the best things I have seen come out of this revival are the great suede handbags in interesting colors. These days fashion has gotten fairly boring, especially with the colors. It is a huge breath of fresh air to have brightly colored handbags back in fashion(did I just give away my age?). Another thing about this movement though, is that these red, purple, and blue suede bags aren't necessarily made out of real suede leather. Instead they are often made out of a cloth or synthetic material that is made to look like suede. The effect is very good and they come out to being a lot cheaper than the real thing.
Suede bags are one of those things that has only come up in small circles in the fashion world. Most businesses have never bothered to begin carrying the products because they don't believe they will be able to sell enough of them. There might be suede handbags, but I rarely see them in exciting bright colors. This can make finding a bag that looks the way you want it to a big challenge.
